Subject: Mechanical Question

Sometimes when im stopped at a red light in my Dodge Dakota,it starts to shake..(like a back and forth motion)it kinda feels like its about to shut off.....does anyone know what could be wrong?maybe fuel injectors?

My 99 Dakota would do the same thing, except it was a side-to-side shaking. Sounded like it would stall, so frequently I would put the truck in neutral while sitting at a light. I knew it had to be something in the engine. It turned out to be a blown belly pan gasket in the intake manifold.
I had already replaced the distributor cap and rotor a few months ago, so when I did the belly pan gasket fix (using Felpro gaskets and the Hughes 1/4" thick aluminum pan), I also changed the oil, changed the antifreeze and put in new spark plugs. Now the only problem I have is that annoying clutch fan rattle.

Yea im taking it to the dealer for a tune up and a rear end service tommorrow...hopefully that'll fix it. Its a 4.7 V8 by the way.

do your own tune up and save all that money blowing it at the dealership. all they are going to do is change the plugs and sprat TB cleaner in your TB. to me a waste of money when yo ucan do it for way cheaper.
