 Subject: giving UP on Dak R/T, for SRT8 Charger

I've given up. I was hoping for a brand spankin new Hemi Dak R/T. the new 06 4.7 260 HP is such a disappointment, that I've decided to trade in on a charger SRT8. yea, the $45k sticker price stings... alot. I'm selling my cars, and my truck, just to get one. I have a 1965 restored Mustang, a 2001 Intrepid R/T, and a 2000 Dakota R/T, and I'm sick of waiting for a decent descendant to my truck. EVERY other dam-n Dodge thats worth its SALT under the umberella, including that G D CHRSLER 300, gets a friggin Hemi. but the poor dak, one of the BEST selling midsized trucks for years, is skipped. so, F it. I'm trading in for a Charger. I test drove an SRT8 the other day, and got the bug, and now its all I can think about... hell I was even muttering "SRT8..... 6.1 liter...... 425 HP....." in my SLEEP last night. I've lost it I guess. I don't even know why I'm posting this, outside of venting my rage about the disgust I have about giving up all the hours I spent tweaking my truck, replacing failed ball joints, right before a warranty extension was issued, to porting and polishing the induction system and heads, to ... well everything, just to end up liking a CAR more than my truck.. I guess it had to end sometime, and what a car to end it with! so, anyone want to buy a dak R/T club cab??? $12,500 is my price! enough to cover my expense invested, and thats it! I have to gracefully bow out, and take my Charger, much to my own dismay about it...

that is a bada$$ car that your getting. let us know how it runs. do they have the viper 6 speed behind the 6.1 yet? that is gonna be a great car for haulin the family around in too. good luck with the car and i hope you like it more than the r/t.

I don't blame you, hell the durango gets a hemi why not the dakota. And while were on the subject why not a Diesel like the Liberty.

I agree man. Dodge has messed up pretty bad in the past few years. Especially in Design. YUCK!!! I would also like to know how that 6.1L Hemi works out for you in that Charger. (Youll be able to move a lot faster with a better platform for the 6.1)
