I have an '03 4x4 that makes a whining noise only between 35-40 MPH. I'm pretty sure it is coming from the front passenger side. I first noticed it after being in four high one weekend. I have run thru four high and four low to make sure it's not partially engaged. Dodge dealer didn't notice the sound (what else is new). I am sure it is not trans or engine related. Searching old posts I found people with the same problem but no definate answers. Some thoughts from old posts are wheel bearings or power steering pump? Any suggestions or similar problem?

I have a 2000 quadcab and had a whinning problem from the front passenger side also. I just don't let my wife ride with me anymore and the whinning noise stopped! It worked for me!

I have that problem also, it only happens when I talk about buying a body lift, new tires, superchip, K&N... I learned how to fix it, I just don't tell her!
