Living in Montana > Thinking on starting to use amsoil > If I can find a dealer in Montana, Do I pay shipping from his house to mine or do I also pay the shipping that was charged him to get his stock > Or If i was able to pick up the oil at his place of business do I still get shipping added on > Never seen nobody ask this question >

if you buy from a local dealer, you will pay whatever markup he has on the product. It is much easier to goto the AMSOIL website and set yourself up as a preferred customer ($20/year) and buy direct from them, shipped right to your house.
If the dealer you buy it from has to ship it to you, then of course you would have to pay shipping, which would basically be paying twice.

Wholesale Pricing Options for AMSOIL Products.
There are 4 options - pick the one that is best for you!
-- #1 - Preferred Customer Option $20 Year
The Preferred Customer option is recommended for people who want the lowest possible prices on Amsoil products for their vehicles and equipment. Preferred Customers pay the same low prices for Amsoil products that Amsoil Dealers pay.
As an added bonus, Preferred Customers also receive a comprehensive information kit on Amsoil products and a subscription the AMSOIL Action News, a monthly magazine containing new product information, performance comparisons of Amsoil products to others on the market, updates on the Amsoil race teams, along with informative articles on products and their benefits to you.
-- #2 - Dealership Option $30 year
The AMSOIL Dealership Option is for anyone wishing to become an AMSOIL Dealer. There are no inventory requirements, no territory restrictions, and no minimum purchases. You can purchase products for your own use at Wholesale Cost or you can sell to others. For just $10 more per year over the Preferred Customer fee, you too can become an Amsoil Dealer.
-- #3 - Commercial Account Option
The Commercial Account option is for businesses which have company-owned vehicles, equipment and machinery that will be using AMSOIL Lubricants and Filtration products in the normal course of operating their business. This type of account does not sell AMSOIL products, but chooses to use them in their equipment and machinery. There is no cost to register as a Commercial Account.
Some Examples of Commercial Accounts would be:
- Landscaping & Lawn Companies
- Trucking Companies
- Taxi Fleets
- Golf Courses
- Farming/Agricultural
- Construction Companies
- Manufacturing Facilities
- Municipalities
- Government Agencies
-- #4 - Retail Account Option
The Retail Account Option is for retail outlets that whish to stock AMSOIL products to sell to their customers or install AMSOIL products as part of a service such as with oil changes. There is no cost to register as a Retail Account.
Some Examples of Retail Accounts would be:
- Auto Parts Stores
- Quick-Lube Centers
- Auto Service and Repair Shops
- Auto/Truck Dealerships
- Motorcycle and ATV Dealerships and Part Stores
- Marinas and Watercraft Supply and Part Stores
- Hardware Stores
- Lawn and Garden Service and Part Stores

Shipping
Shipping is handled by UPS and the product is shipped from one of fourteen (14) Amsoil Distribution Facilities located in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico. Your Amsoil order will be shipped direct from the closest facility and you are only charged the actual UPS charges. Amsoil DOES NOT add on to the UPS charges, and Amsoil DOES NOT charge a handling or processing fee. BOTTOM LINE: The shipping charges you see are exactly what UPS charges Amsoil.

How do I find Amsoil Products?
Amsoil is available mainly through Independent Amsoil Dealers such as myself --- and some high performance and retail stores. Orders are placed either from the catalog (toll-free #) or from the online store when you visit my website by clicking the link at the bottom of this post(secure credit card orders can be placed direct from my website).
Independent Amsoil Dealers are located across the country -- in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, Canada, and New Zealand. Some Amsoil Dealers advertise in the Yellow Pages and some do not. Finding it in a store is not easy since Amsoil has no interest in competing for the "big-box" shelf space (i.e. Walmart), but specialty "Performance" stores are a good place to start your search ... and some Dodge Dealerships are beginning to carry Amsoil.
Amsoil is usually purchased through an Independent Amsoil Dealer (via catalog or their website) but if you want to find it on-the-shelf in your area ... one way is to check the Yellow Pages under automotive lubrication and/or oil. Word-Of-Mouth at a local track may also help you find Amsoil Products in a local store.

Thanks for posting that information > Pretty well new all that as seen it in here before > I have a bit differant situation then most > As of last year I became wheelchair handycaped > I don't get around like I used to > At this point, being a little over a year into this new way of life, I find myself driving about 7500 miles per year > My intentions are to do one change a year and here in is the problem > I would never buy enough product to warrant the 20.00 ( 2 autos) dollors per year > Right now,Im using the new mobil 1 syn with mobil 1 filter > I know it's good stuff but as things stand I still have to order filters out of California (I'm in Montana) > According to the company this is the closest place I can get them > Isn't that a laugh > I now there are other good filters out there but in doing my extensive resurch I believe mobil 1 filters are top notch > Fact is My plan should I do this is to use amsoil oil and mobil 1 filters > Best situation would be if there was a dealer close to me but most likely there is not >

Hey Steve, did you ever get my email a few weeks back when I ordered a bunch more Amsoil?
I noted that there is a LOCAL DEALER set as my dealer, when the very first time(s) I put your name.
On my last purchase, I found no way to change that...
So what's up with that? Someone else may be getting YOUR credit???? I bought $200 worth including shipping.
