 Subject: MAP Sensor code

'96 3.9L Auto 4X4. Check engine light is on. Codes are 1-2; 1-4; 5-5; then constant on. I think the 1-4 is a MAP sensor voltage problem. Does not stay running when cold, but operates normally after warming up. Am I headed inthe right direction?

12 is battery recently disconnected (last 50 starts)
55 is end of codes
14 is map sensor voltage high or low.

I just replaced the MAP sensor among other things on my 95 3.9L 4x4.
yes, it can be the cause. Very easy to replace.
