My Reply to this.

Dave - you came on here and whined about Greg. Made it look like you were trying to shame him into giving you your money back. I might have done the same thing.
But further posts of yours have revealed more of the story. You chose to buy directly from a stranger, apparantly for the too-good-to-be-true low price. You changed your mind a couple times about which parts you wanted. You expected business-like responses to your inquiries. First you said you just want your money back and now you just said its not the money its the principle. All very confusing.

Believe it or not too good to be true prices are out there. A business like response, I think waiting 12 days for a response is a LITTLE long ?? I changed my mind a couple of times , try once. And I never changed my mind, I realized the pushrods were wrong for me. I asked if I could not purchase them. But I am not bitching about that on here , just the rockers. The pushrods were my error and I have no problem with that. Read the postings again. You obviously skipped some stuff.
If I don't get the money back it will not bankrupt me, I would like it back ,sure . But it really irritates me that I have been getting Jacked around for months.

Greg - you decided to sell something. You found a buyer. He sent money. You sent item. The buyer said the item is not as promised. You, not being a business, were not available 24x7 to answer emails and whatnot. The buyer has asked for his money back for an item he has apparantly not offeredto return? You appear to be working to please this buyer.

Working at pleasing this buyer ? Not offered to return ? You do NOT know all the facts pal. I can send you EVERY piece of correspondance I have about this if you like. I sent GB 2000 some so he could see the facts too,he had a change of heart after reading it. I offered to send everything back earlier on in this fiasco, I wanted my money back first . After seeing what I got for my money I have a trust issue with this person , wouldn't you ? I am sure he wanted his parts first and I am not sending anything without my money in my hand so that is a stalemate isn't it? So far you seem very biased in this .....

Dave, maybe you should stick to ebay or other business-type purchases that have clear-cut 'rules of engagement'. I think you need that kind of structure. Also, when buying used mechanical parts from someone you don't know, it might be a good idea not to take their word on condition if you don't know them. (my local dealer's definition of a tuneup is very different from mine.) If you didn't like the ebay-photo-link, shoulda asked for a photo of the actual item before agreeing to buy it.

Once again you do not know all the facts. I did request a photo of the rockers. I was told , I will get you one tonight. Then I get a link emailed to me stating that "Mine look just like these " NO photo, just a link to ebay. Yes , that should have been a red flag. I guess I am just too trusting, but my earlier purchase from BBDart went very smooth. I had no reason to mistrust anyone ...until now.

Greg, you sold a part that turned out to be bad. You appear to be trying to fix it, I dunno. You also appear to want to settle this issue off the board and directly with the buyer, Dave, who it seems would rather whine online and warn everyone of this injustice instead. Seeing as how you are not a used parts store, I really don't see why you should send him any of his money back unless he first returns the 'not-as-described' parts, in the same condition they were recieved.

I would not rather whine online in the forums , as Ray can attest . ( You know the other fellow on here who PAID for a intake and NEVER recieved it ). We tried to resolve this between us, through emails. But WE get promised lots and get delivered nothing. Twice now I was supposed to have a cheque in the mail and it never arrives . But Greg has promised to give me some money towards buying new bearings, NOT a refund but to help repair them. Call it a refund or whatever you want. It never gets here. When I mail him asking about it , it goes unanswered . Ask Ray, he has the same problem. So we go looking for him on websites that he frequents , and start bitching about him, and LO and Behold he contacts us. So you see this is the only way to get any replies, otherwise he ignores us. So , I am supposed to send everything back , at MY expense, another hour drive for me to the UPS store , spend another $15 in shipping and hope out of the goodness of his heart he will send me my money back. So far I do not feel this deal has been done in good faith . So lets see, more gas money spent, bridge tolls, shipping. So I it's going to cost me about $60 total when it's all over and I have nothing to show for it ? NOTHING.. Right now at least I have a set of pushrods I can sell off. You are on crack my friend if you think that is a reasonable solution to this.
The proper authorities have been notified in Rays case, so lets just hope there is some justice done there.

Like I said before, this thread was started on a public board, and is dragging on with no end in sight (kinda by Dave), so I decided to add my fiddy cents.

Yeah it's been dragging on kinda by Dave , because Dave is the one who sent money for a set of rocker arms that are junk! What do you think that Greg is going to come on here and bitch that He sold some junk rocker rms to some sucker? No, he wants this just to go away. And it will, when I recieve some money towards new bearings, or he is charged for mail fraud over his dealings with Ray.

When Ray, (who has become a friend of mine gets satisfaction), meaning Greg gets charged with mail fraud , because we both know he does not have a intake to ship ( it was likely sold to someone else) . Reread the post genius, it's about the total cost of this transaction. TOTAL cost ,meaning everything I have to spend to ship this crap back. And I end up with NOTHING.Maybe you should read the postings a little S L O W E R , then maybe you can grasp what is being written. It's all about money wasted. Being a MAthman you should have been able to figure this out ??

dave,

i'm working with ray on his intake. You are right, i do not have an intake to ship.. i shipped one a couple months ago and it did not make it's destination correctly. I've been working on it with Ray and have kept Ray as updated about it as i've been from UPS. I'm currently working on getting him another intake locally that a guy is going to sell me cheap so i can get him one asap and just finish dealing with UPS later... now that it's your business and all.

.. and remember, you asked me to ship it to the UPS store, that wasnt my idea

I know some of you regulars feel like you know Greg because of his long presence on this board but Dave (and Ray) sound very rational AND very believable to me, and other than quibbling about the passage of time and being kicked off of forums or not, Greg hasn't disputed any of their (Dave and Ray's) assertions. He doesn't even deny that the rockers were bad, he says he was "unaware of the condition".
The fact that intensedak39 has not had any bad transactions with anyone on this board doesn't automatically make him righteous - he may be but it's not looking that way at this point. Some people live with a spouse for years without knowing who that person really is or what they're capable of, so don't embarrass yourself defending a guy you think you "know" from an internet forum.
I don't believe that Greg intentionally set out to rip anyone off, but having a new baby (which seems to be his only excuse) doesn't make it impossible to take 30 seconds to send an email and another 30 seconds to write a check.
I personally wouldn't buy anything the way these guys did, but I don't blame them for using every available option for getting satisfaction.

i dont doubt they are bad.. Dave sent me the pix of them and they are trashed. I didnt know that because on a big block, they sit on shafts with spacers and springs inbetween them... fully assembled, you do not see the shaft or the roller bearings on the rockers.

from the pix and his discription, the roller bearings on the rockers tore down into the shaft as i was using stock shafts and not hardened shafts... something that people on bbdart.com made me aware of after i asked what would cause that damage. My truck gave me no indictation of the problem as they still functioned as rockers... i wouldnt intentionally sell damaged parts.

guys, i didnt say having a baby was my excuse... that was the excuse some other people said, not me. If i said "too bad, i've had a baby", then please point that out.

i've talked to dave and ray more about this via email and there is not a lot getting said here... so just let us figure this out and stop the defending of me and the "nonbias" comments.

Amen to unbiased. Some rational thinking. Awaiting any emails from you Greg. I have not had 1 email since this erupted on this board. And I sent you one, so i know you have my address. If it did not make it then just click the little letter icon below my name. Actually the last email I ever got from you was the one below dated Nov 5th. All I ever from the begining wanted was fair treatment.
Dave.
-------------------------------------------------

sorry abou the late reply dave. i went and had a stop payment put on the money order as it was shown as being delivered but not cashed. I'm hoping i had gotten your address correct, that's why i asked if that was the correct one. I might of messed up part of it. I hope that's all it was.

i got you a new check out in the mail yesterday and should be there in 3-5 days. Thanks!

greg

I can assure you toolfan it's all MOPAR ! That motor was jus a quick reringed and bearinged 383 just for this past summer. It was supposed to be coming out right now and my new bigger and better motor was supposed to be in. But I never got a decent passs out of it at the dragstrip in the summer. Only went once and had some shifter binding troubles. So I want to take it up in the early spring and try again. It should , I repeat should go hi 12's. But you never know. The new motor is a balanced .020 over 400, with KB pistons, forged 383 crank , MP .557 solid lifter cam. and the heads that are posted on BBDart. Which is why I was buying those rollers rockers from Greg, and also why the pushrods will not work for me (because of the solid lifter cam ). But the pushrod purchase was totaly my error not Gregs. So I have no problem biting the bullet on that one .
Thank you for the compliments, they are appreciated ! Dave.

P.S. Still awaiting a email Greg ? You asked Ray for my email addy ,you have had it now for several days.

Anyone got a BBDuster site? :)

This is my latest project car. Finally brought it home last night and unloaded into the garage...

It has a LONG way to go. No engine or tranny. Interior gutted. Someone else gave up on it.

I've been leaning towards the 440 since there's so much for them now and more cubes is nice as well :)

Hey GD that looks to be in decent shape sheet metal wise ..No BBDuster sites that I have seen :). But BBDart is the place to go if you have any questions about putting a bigblock in there. If you are looking to spend some money on a motor you can get lots of cubes out of a 400 if you stroke it. 440 Source has cheap stroker kits. And the 400 will slide in thee a little easier . Apparently being that extra 1 1/2 inches shorter makes things alot easier . Mine came with the bigblock and all I have ever had in it is the B's not the RB's.
Anyways, anyone heard from my friend Greg, I still have not had any contact with him other that that last email on Nv 5th ?
I noticed a little 2 different versions of something and wondered which one is the truth ?
In the email I recieved on Nov 5th he wrote and I quote "i got you a new check out in the mail yesterday and should be there in 3-5 days. Thanks! " and you can see the whole letter posted above .

you've been refunded the money i told you, you will not receive anything else. It's nice that you buttered up the story a bit.. but that's expected.
This is from one of GREGs earlier posts, he claims I was refunded ??????

But in a later post he writes ---i went to the place i sent the money order and confirmed the address and it was the one you gave me. I went to see about getting a stop payment on it but could not get reimbursed for the full figure face. I never sent off another one as i do not believe i need to be sending items at my expense.

Hmmm, so I never did get the money ??

Quote --"you've been refunded the money i told you, you will not receive anything else. It's nice that you buttered up the story a bit"

"So he sent 2 money orders but none of them were recieved, they BOTH went to the wrong address ? Who buttered up the story ???What do you think the odds are on that, I gave my address to him in big bold print on the email . It really is quite simple to transfer that to a letter.

I am still waiting for a reply Greg ????Click on the little letter icon beside my name, it will fill in the email address automatically for you .

As of Friday, Greg was going to "locate a manifold locally and send it out ASAP". I am going to take him at his word (as I have throughout this ordeal) and wait for a reply.

tool,
I have sent Greg my number before as a show of good faith so that we can talk about this in stead of lighting up your board (and providing some entertainment to boot!). He has not called, nor has he supplied me with his number.

Graphite,
I have alot of tin for the Duster / Dart Sport and plenty of suspension parts that will work on your car. If you need anything, let me know. If I do not have it, I can prob turn you on to people that can help.

It is very funny that Intense has so much trouble sending parts that never get to their destination as well as checks/refunds. I've been using the US mail system for 53 years and UPS/FEDX for quite some time as well and never had a problem. I find it funny that he has numerous problems getting stuff to its destination. I smell a skunk. My kids never used that many excuses for anything in their life! Hope you guys get this straigtened out and I agree with Graphite...pass the popcorn.

For a youngster, toolfan gave you guys a great idea; exchange telephone numbers and call each other. This way, if one of you can't get online, the telephone has been around a lot longer and seems to always work. Nice job toolfan, but my guess is, Intense probably doesn't have a phone because he ordered one but it got lost or shipped somewhere else. LOL

Yeah, my wife sh*t herself when she saw the stripped car I unloaded into the garage.
But like you said, it's got good metal for a 31 yr old car! Dusters are LIGHT too. But I will strip some things and add some such as a roll cage.

As far as 400 vs. 440, I didn't know they were diff in length. I could look for a 400. Do 400's still use the same heads / intake? Because there sure is a LOT for the 440 these days. And I like how the intakes have valley pans under them unlike the small blocks do.

The Duster is also a car with low shock towers since it uses tosrions. I think that should give more room than say a big block in a fox body Mustang that uses struts!

My friend who i got this from has another car still in his parents back yard in Payson. I will make a trip and get whatever parts off of it I need. But most of the parts for this car are all in baskets now.
I don't care about the gauges or anything. I'm going custom on all that stuff :)
