Ok have two questions for the experts. If I change to synthetic diff fluid will I still have to use the Mopar diff friction modifier? Also when I back up (2000 Quad Cab/392 rear) turn right or left the rear grinds or chatters but straight back is ok, Is this normal?

No, it ain't normal. Take it back to the dealer and have them put the friction modifier in- like mine, it apparently was left out of yours.

Yes most synthetics still require that you add a friction modifer for use in limited slip. Some companys make gear lube with it already added to it for limited slip applications but most do not. If you use a friction modified gear lube in a syncronised manual transmission you can have trouble with the syncros' not doing their job so they leave it out of the general gear lube.
