is it possible to add cargo lights to a dak that came without them? the light switch already has the position for it i think. (first turn dome light, second turn dome + cargo light).
There are also two brackets in the hmbl. i am just curious about the wiring.
has anybody done this before?

Try removing the hmbl ,should be another plug, you'll need to get a combo light from the junkyard and a bulb. This worked on my 98 Dakota. Get yourself a manual, I found all kinds of lights and plugs to hook up, also while you're at the yard look at any of the same trucks that are dismantled, great way to see how stuff is hooked up. I've added under dash lights, power socket, under hood light, glove box light, ash tray light, all the plugs were there, just not connected.
Use the wiring diagrams in the manual to help track stuff down. Hope this helps

i already removed the hmbl, but there was only one cabel for the brake light, none for the cargo light.
there were however already plastic brackets in the lgiht for the cargo lamps.
