 Subject: 99 Dakota stalls in reverse

I have a 99 dodge dakota
It does not do this all the time just 2 times so far this year
When i get in it in the morning and start it it starts and runs fine i let it warm up for about 2 minutes then put it in reverse with my foot on the brake it then starts to die down its not like a instant stall but more of like it putters and dies down it does not do this in drive or N also this morning when it did this i could not start it again for a wile it would turn over and everything but it would not start
If anyone might know what my problem is please let me know
