Trans question: the VIN for my R/T listed a "DGT" 46RE auto trans but the ID on the trans is FK5211949AA which the factory says is a discontinued trans used on 2000 & 2001 models. What's the difference if any?

No The Factory never did discontinue production of the 46 or A-600 untill around 2003 (it was replaced with the 5-45 muitispeed. But I quess they did end production when the 360 option was no longer added. But that was like in 03.

Found out from mopar factory parts rep. that the Tag ID 52119949AA is in fact a 46RE but that part number was used on 2000 & 2001 5.9L models. It's exactly the same tranny. They just changed part numbers
