Hi there,

I used to own a 1997 Dakota Sport, and had to get rid of it due to a new family starting... NOW my wife finally got her licence and driving her own 05 Pacifica...

Anyways, im in the market for what i always wanted when I had the sport...

Im looking for a 2001-2003 Dodge Dakota R/T Club Cab, Silver.

What I really wanted to know is, is there something about those years that I should be careful about? Any major mechanical problems I should be looking for when going to view these vehicles??? I know my old 97 Dak had a catalytic converter problem, but not too sure about these newer R/Ts!

Any information would help!

Thank you.

From what I have read I'd go with a 2000, it only has 1 o2 sensor, and it was the last year of a Mopar Performance PCM, and I personally like the interior better on the 97-00 Gen 3 Daks.

it has two 02 sensors and one catalytic converter... all OBDII vehicles have at least two sensors.

as for the cat, federal law warranties them for like 7-8 years and/or 80K miles.. something like that.
