I don't. Seem like for every gallon I put in my tank, the needle will move up 2 gallons. Also I ran out of gas thinking I could make it to the BP but nope it didn't make it. Luckly I keep an extra gallon for these mishaps

I have a 92 dakota and I trust mine to the point where I go about 45-50 miles with the warning light on... never ran out but I never have pushed it beyond like 65 miles... I try to refill about 15 miles after the light comes on but sometimes you cant when you are out in the middle of the night... Point being, my gauge never gives me trouble

Well I got mine replaced once and I can't tell any differnce. I think when the light comes one it mean you got about 1/5th of a tank right?

Yep, my 00 4x4 CC does the same.. Light comes on, and it puts about 16 gallons in on a 22 gallon tank.

So does anyone else wish that auto manufacturers would stop dumbing stuff down...simply because the general public is stupid. I know i would rather have gauges that tell me the truth rather than a built in safety buffer for those idiots who dont even check the gauges. I can drive quite a few miles after my tanks needle is ON empty.

Whenever I get down to the E mark I can only still put in about 16 gallons and I have a 22 galon tank. So I have 6 gallons when I'm on E. This probally helps dodge on their roadside assistance program. Less people running out of gas equals more money saved for DC.

My gas gauge tells me im empty right after filling up, then it goes back to being full... then empty again...some days it does it, and other days it doesnt... it does no matter how much gas i have though... i think its a sensor plug somewhere...

Guys, one thing I think you're all missing is that the internal fuel pump in our trucks is cooled by fuel, and fuel only. When the level of fuel drops below the body of the fuel pump, it cannot transfer the heat effectively. These internal fuel pumps can experience premature failure if run this way too often. So, my thoughts are that this is one of the driving reasons for that added 'buffer' of fuel by those idiots at Chrysler.
So fellas, those who milk the tank for every last drop may actually be the idiots here. :O) no flame.

Well I'm glad to see we have a new troll....that or the same one just came up with a new slogan.
Either way...its kinda annoying not knowing how much gas I actually have because I didn't even know I had a 22 gal. tank until I went to the dealer and they gave me a printout of everything my truck had. When I'm on empty the most I've put in is 17.
