Subject: Cracks in wheel
IP: Logged

Message:
I have a 2000 Quad Cab with the factory aluminum wheels. One of the wheels has cracks where the "spokes" meet the hub. I would say they're more than a hairline crack but not gaping by any means. They appear to only be cracks in the finish but...
Has anyone heard of any problems with the factory wheels failing?

Just had this conversation with the tire shop > After market alloy wheels are fairly easy to crack hitting a pot hole or simular hard hit > factory wheels are tuffer but can still be dammaged same way > reguardless, if the wheel is actually cracked get it off the truck > this can be a killer
