Like most of you, I am surrounded by rice, fart can jap crap whatever, but I am also surrounded by fullsize f-250/350, hemi rams and chevy crap, lifted at least 6" rolling on 20" bling/bling rims, that obviosly never go off-road. to me that is as bad as "rice"

agreed. 4x4s and jeeps and such with chrome rims and lifts just for looks might as well fall into the rapidly growing "rice" category.

off topic, your name ID 4x4, you from idaho?

Oh and I agree with the ricer comments as well...if I were to ever lift my truck (even though it's a 2wd), I'd still at least humiliate myself with the big boys. lol

grill was a pretty simple install. you have to clip these little things on the bumper and shelle of the grill, and i nicely sliced my thumb open on one. then the cable and handle to relocate the hood latch. but its nothing you couldn't handle im sure

pics in my dodgetalk.com gallery (pre 2" drop)

funny thing is, my truck looks like a street queen. but just today i used it to haul my dirt bike out to the desert to go riding, which is more offroading than i can say most "pretty 4x4s" ever do with theres. in a few weeks, the snow tires go on and it'll be taking me up the mountains to go snowboarding. so its not like it never gets dirty, but it sure cleans up nice, and i take good care of it but use it as a truck. its not like i can take it in mudholes either...

Nice Dak! ...and nice cowl induction hood! I got one sitting in the shed that I'm gonna try and get mounted (still in primer) within the next week or so. Can't afford to get it painted currently and not sure if I'm gonna be keeping my truck red. And I know what you mean...I use my truck to haul my four-wheeler places. I'm thinking about lowering it some as well, but still not sure. One thing is I gotta make sure it can haul my four-wheeler lowered (weighs almost 500 lbs...around 700 lbs with me on it riding it up). If it can't, it's not being done...not unless I sell the quad anyway.

keep it red, there's really no other color :)

thanks for the compliments, i've got a couple exterior goodies i want to get to here shortly, along with dropping in my much modified intake manifold and double roller timing chain. hopefully before the snow flies.

how much are you planning on lowering? i've seen plenty of lowered trucks towing/hauling. i've hauled about 500 or so pounds in the form of 2 mx bikes and all of me and my buddies gear, seemed to do just fine.

it seems like everyone in the school park lot has a lifted truck that daddy bought. i take my truck off roading alot 2wd and run it through bashes and mud holes and the paint looks better than my friends r/t. he polishes that thing everyday and even cleans the wheel wells.

his r/t is lowered and goes great down smooth dirt roads. i want to do a 2" lift in the front with some stiffer springs.

nice truck both of you guys "GB2000" and "ricerX."

lol, yeah...gotta love it.

btw... racerX...looking into the Belltech 4inch rear, 2 inch front (i may have gotten that backwards...) with the nitro-active shocks. Then I'll prolly have to buy new tires (and possibly new rims) since I'm sure my Duelers would prolly look a lil corny on a lowered Dak.

ricer X? hope that was a typo LOL, i'm gonna start using that to describe coffee can ricers who stop-light drag people who aren't racing. they're "ricer-X."

"but one question why you stop the cuda stripe so short on your bed? I seen them all go right to the end."

yeah, likewise. that was the length that was sent to me, i forget where i bought em, but they weren't designed for my truck. but i've got a local tint/vinyl shop gonna do some full length ones for me. from right behind the headlight all the way to the tail light. will look much more profesh and will be fit specifically to my truck.

GB2000, 2/4 sounds like a good drop, but if you're hauling you might consider 2/3 instead. i've done about 1.5/2 to mine (sits like an r/t), and with the bike in the back it still has a little rake to it. a 2/4 is gonna make you sit pretty much level with an empty bed, and probably nose-high when you go loading it down. plus you'll have an extra inch for the suspension to compress when you put that quad in there. just a suggestion. good luck with that cowl hood, i enjoy mine :)

heh yeah ID, sorry for the off-topic. got any pics of you truck? just wondering if i've seen ya around. be cool to shoot the breeze with ya sometime.
