 Subject: trans swap prob

i am swaping a 1993 v6's auto trans from a dakota into a 1996 ram 1500 v6, and the input yolk from the driveshaft wont go on the out put shaft of the tranny all the way. it only goes on like an inch. what is my prob????

compare the yolks > something is differant > if you can't buy what you need take the 2 to a machine shop and get one made out of the 2 > maybe someone else here has a better way > good luck

Yolks? We talkin' trucks or eggs here? It's YOKE, not yolk. They/re probably splined differently.
