Need Help!!!
I replaced my trans in my 99 Dak , and need some advice.
My check engine light came on two days after i put the trans in, all sensors in trans are new and the crank position sensor is new. I know I have a bad O2 sensor. Would the O2 sensor cause the trans to not perform correctly? Any Advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, the same happened in mine. The O2sensor wires where not hooked up in the right place. Go buy the Hanes manual for our model yr truck($17.00). it has all the correct diagrams in it. Mine was running like sh*t for two days i put the wires back into the right place and the problem was fixed. But if you cannot save the 02 you have buy a new one($67.00), first make sure you don't have to.

Lucas,
the O2 sensor is hooked up right, but when I droped the trans into the mount I had the exhaust crossover pipe to close to the tranny pan. Needless to say the tranny pan cut into two wires on the O2 sensor . I thought I fixed it but my Check engine light came on yesterday. I do have a haynes manual and a chilton manual. I just was in a hurry to get my truck back on the road and did something stupid. But thanks for the reply
