Message:
I have nearly 85,000 miles on my stock Goodyears and I think it's time for some new tread before it starts raining here in California. I plan on buying from Les Schwab. Can anyone recommend a tire that they sell. My truck's only 2WD, so I don't need anything beefy.

Thanks!

I buy tires there > Our local store is great plus I know a few of them personally > Just go there and tell them you want high mileage tires 4 ply 6 ply rated with soft sidewalls for best ride > Most important is you want a good rain tire > boy does this make a differance holding the road > They should have 2 or 3 brands that fit this discription so you can pick a tread you like > I always go with a wider tire then stock myself >

Yea I ended up getting some Mud Terrain SXT's. Not as aggresive as I wanted but they didn't have anything else in stock that I liked. Not bad though other than I havent been able to really test them because after I did a body lift my linkage doesn't work right. I can go from 2hi to 4 lo and neutral but as soon as I put it in 4hi I can't get it out. The linkage just twists and allows the lever to shift up but doesn't actually change any gears

before i got my new wild country xtx tires those oem goodyear eagle ls tires wore right out past the wear indicators, they were balder than bald, and in the winter i was all over the road, i kept getting flats all the time so finaly went and bought new tires at around 80,000 miles so if yours Adam are at 100,000 you prolly needed new ones if you had the same ones i did.
