Steve, this appears to be an improvement to the AMSOIL oiled foam filter I bought in 2002, that is in great shape still. Am I correct? thanks
2002 QC 4x4 Sport Plus, 4.7L, auto, Patriot Blue, Tire & Handling group,
Heavy Duty Service group, Leer cap w/out windows, Mopar Step bars and roof rack, Rhino liner in bed and on step bars, Pace Edwards Power Tailgate lock

K&N and the Fram Airhog are wet gauze filters. These are mentioned in the first post.
Amsoil is buying Powercore filters from Donaldson Co. and now it looks like they are buying regular pleated filter from them as well.

You are almost correct ...
Donaldson Company manufacturers for the industrial and heavy equipment market ... not the passenger vehicle market. They tried to partner with a number of OEM’s before for the passenger vehicle market with mixed results.
AMSOIL is the first lubricant company that they have shared their technology and product line with, and the first company that they would private label their filters for. There will be more exciting news coming from this partnership in the future.
