Subject: Hard Rattling noise???

Message:
I own a 99 Dakota with a 3.9v6. Everytime I start the car up and it sits there, there is a very loud rattling noice that sounds like a fan that is being "clunked" with rocks or something. Does anyone have a clue on what it may be. After a while of driving, it will go away, but if you stop, it will "clunk" again. Thanks for any help if you can give me any.
