 Subject: Bigger wheels for '02 Dak

I am looking to buy some new wheels for my '02 Dak. Instead of the standard 15" wheels i would like something larger like 17" or 18".
Any thoughts on this like clearance, offset, gearing, etc i should be aware off before i spend my money ? What would be the largest size you would recommend ?

I know that most everyone talks about needing 5 or 5.5 inches of backspace. Otherwise you'll get the tires rubbing.
If you're asking for opinions...
I like the look of 18" wheels and 285/55 or 285/50 tires wrapped around them. One of these days when I get around to wheels I am pretty sure this is how I'm gonna go.
I don't like the look of any 20" wheels I've seen on Dakotas. The wheels look too big for the truck and make it look like a Dubz diecast toy. IMO it just doesn't look right. But that's just me, and there any many who have a differing opinion and are running 20s.
