 Subject: '02 Dakota Headlights

I have an '02 Dakota V6 Quad cab. Coming home this morning, I turned off the headlights, and they didn't go off. Headlights, markers, dash, everything still on. Pulled the dash and disconnected the switch, STILL ON!!!!. Looked for a headlight fuse, didn't find one. Finally pulled the neg bat cable off. after waiting about 10 min, hooked it back up and everything seems to work. Any ideas??? Thanks in advance.

I have a somewhat similar -if opposite-story from with my 97 Dak.
Got in it one evening to drive to the store. Pull the light switch and BAM...pulls right out of the dash and im holding the entire switch knob and rod in my hand. LUCKILY the lights didnt turn on because then i would have had to disconnect the battery every time i shut the darn thing off. Took me like 6 days to get a new swicth assembly, so I was driving like the devil all week to get home before dark...haha.
