Subject: fuel pump check valve?

Message:
everything I've read on this site, indicates that the check valve on my fuel pump is going bad, but I thought I'd run the symptoms by everyone to get your opinion. Ok, lately, it's been taking longer crank times for my truck to fire, but it seems to be temp. related. In the morning, when it's only about 55 degrees out, it doesn't take as long to fire, but when it's been sitting all day while I'm at work, it takes considerably longer, but the temps are up in the 80's. I only need to let the truck sit shut off for 5 minutes after it's been running, and it'll take a good three seconds to fire, but, during all of this, if I cycle the fuel pump three times, the truck fires right up. As I said, I'm almost 100% sure that it's the check valve, but I wanted to run this by everyone, before I spend $220 for a new pump assembly

Sounds like mine but mine isn't temp specific. I am planning on just "priming" it as you stated and wait with the new pump system until later.
