one of my alloy wheels is peeling. I have the stock 15x8 5spilt spoke from a 98 dak.... i guess the alloy is like a paint job on a wheel? anyway...what do i do? any way to fix it? it looks terrible!

aluminum alloy is what the wheel is made of... but it's painted and clear coated for protection. It's probably just loosing it's clearcoat.

i took some sand paper to one and there is aluminum under there... it takes a while but it's there.. lol

So, to match them i'll have to sand them all down and paint them, then clear coat them? because it's not just the clear coat it's bad...this sucks...i have no idea what i am doing! how much would it cost to have them chromed at a shop?

Just take them to a powdercoating shop, they will strip them and put on any color you want for about 30.00 each. Some powdercoats can get almost chrome in color.
