Does anyone know where I can get an AC/Heat blower? This is the part that is under the glove box. Mine broke last year and I haven't gotten around to fixing it. I was told I could only get one from Dodge, does anyone know otherwise? I have a 3.9L V6 2001 Quad Cab. Thanks

Are you sure it's the blower motor and not the resistor. If the resistor is bad, the motor won't run. resistor costs $8.00 and is very easy to install.

I under the glove box, right next to the blower motor. Fan Speed control module...that is the resistors name.

The resistor has a plug with about six wires attached to it and a red slide that is the locking mechanism. Push the red slide to one side and pull out the plug. If I remember right, a 10mm socket will be needed to take out the two screw/bolts holding the resistor. You may need to loosen the bolts on your vent in order to reach the bolts on the resistor. Just replaced mine last month and Mennis is right, about 8 bucks at the dealer. My fan only worked on high, which is the default, and after replacing the blower resistor, all speeds now work. I got all the info I needed from the folks on this site.

Thanks guys. Does anyone know the name for the actual blower because I took it out and accidentally dropped it and the plastic wheel broke and can't be fixed, so I do need a new blower unit but I bet my resistor was the actual problem.

OK here is the scoop I have a 2003 Dakota with a 4.7 today the ac blower was working good no problems. Now it wont turn on. I pulled the blower and was checking it has power coming to it SO I plug it back in and it worked for maybe 5 seconds. and quit. Im thinking it may be a grounding issue but not to sure. Can anyone help a solider in need.

Does it work on any speed settings or just not at
all?

Blower don't work; the resistor was replaced about a year ago and the blower motor is good. I have also checked fuses and they appear to be good. I have been told that this problem could be a switch. If this is in fact a logical issue, where might I look to find this switch?
