Make some calls to your local auto repair shops. If recharge is all you need, any of them should be able to do it, and can give you a quote over the phone.

why do you think that it has to be recharged? could be other problems with it, what year is your truck? usually the only time the system has to be vacuumed is when it has been opened up, but if your system is just low then you can buy the kit and do it yourself for like 50 bucks.

My truck looks like it was in a knife fight, and lost! http://www.cardomain.com/ride/1275365

there's alot of places here (atlanta ga) that will do an inspection (visual) and add 1lb R134 for $60 or less.

I found a place the evac'd mine for $24. I replaced the parts, charged it myself. Picked up the interdynamics kit from wal-mart.

Adam mines a 2000 as well and when i replaced my heater core and evaporator core, i evac'd the a/c myself because i bought an evac pump for 50 bucks, the a/c kit i bought from napa had 2 cans of r134a and 1 can of the oil that goes in there plus a can of somekind of a/c treatment plus the hose and the guage as well, i bought that kit for 80 bucks, a/c works good now but i'm crossing my fingers and knocking on wood.
