I have a 2000 4.7L with 64k miles. Won't always start, but doesn't seem to do so with any predictability(usually a couple of times a week). I replaced fuel pump, plugs, battery. I don't get any error lights. When the engine starts it runs great, no hesitation and plenty of power. It is very inconsistent and I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions.

this happen to me in a ford bronco, turned out that when you put it in park, it was not going all the way in......took the gearshift & shook it, & the thing would start....

can the 4.7 get vapor lock? i dunno, just asking. i had an acura legend v6 that would do that in its later days.
