What does an Odd-Sissy minivan have to do with a Dakota forum?????

Instead let's bash the Ridgeline.....again.

Sooo fugly it makes the Aztec look good.

Rave reviews from car magazines that applaud refinement over "toughness".

I'm still waiting to see one pulling a horse trailer or something bigger than a Seadoo.

Edmonds.com
makes claim that it can actually tow 5000lbs
and has a payload of 1100 lbs
but honda is not costomized to building trucks
so i bet that 5000lbs towing will only last for the first 40k miles or so before the truck falls apart under a strain like that
lol

I'd like to see that small V6 V-Tech tow that 5,000 miles through high grade mountains and across the country like a Dakota (or any real truck) could no problem.

Then see how long that engine lasts when it runs reved so much!!!

Reving them squirrels in a Civic like a pi$$ed off weed eater is one thing. But towing 5,000 Lbs is another!

If you read the "Backfires" column (letters to the editor) in the current Car and Driver, you'll see readers comment on the Ridgeline and the magazines choosing it as #1.
You'll also see why Honda is going to have a tough time selling this first attempt to any current truck owner.

Even a Honda employee says it's just a Pilot with an open back (ala the Subaru Baja failure) and not a real truck.

It's for car-liking yuppies that think driving a truck makes you look cool but won't give up car-like ride for capability that they know they'll never use.
