Then why make that comment in the first place?

Anyways I would check the lubricant again and you may need to use caliper abutment clips if the guide rails are worn. I've used the Permatex stuff I think it was called Brake or Disc Quiet. That stuff has always worked great.

I bought a set of POWERSLOT rotors and my rotor problems went
away !

Plus the stopping power and fade resistance is awesome.

The warping occurred towards the end of a 3200
mile road trip. The trip included hours of
braking through the Smokey Mountains and several
hours of driving through flash flood type rain as
well as many miles at 85.

I suspect that something on that drive, perhaps
splashing through puddles caused the problem. I
have had Brembos warp on another vehicle when
splashing in a puddle with the rotors hot.

The dealer did use a dial indicator to determine
the fronts were warped and rears were not. They
cleaned everything and turned the front rotors.
They could not determine the cause.

I advised the dealer of brake issues due to a
vibration that was not felt in my foot as much as
throughout the truck. That vibration disappeared
once the rotors were turned.

I suspect that I will be upgrading to a non dodge
rotor at the end of the warranty.

YAY!!! someone actually posted their full experience with their rotors instead of just demanding a recall!
THANKS BRUCE!!!

too bad the dealer couldn't determine why, but thanks for adding that you did ask them so maybe some of the other people on here will get the idea that its a good idea to look for the cause of a failure!

Typically rotors either warp from improperly torqued lug nuts, or excessive heat which can come from any # of causes - bad parts, excessive downhill braking, bad driving habits (do you often run up fast on traffic or stops, braking hard at the last moment ?), an underdesigned system, or bad metalurgy in the rotors. Hope that helps some understand this problem better.
