The Catalytic Converter that i have now has an awful rattle, like something inside is loose. If it wasn't working properly would the o2 sensor behind it do something? Is this o2 sensor a problem if i take the cat out? I have too many kms to get the free one.

Illegal to remove catcon - you can get a good replacement for about $110 or so for most vehicles.

Yes, with catcon damaged or removed, you should get a fault code from the downstream O2 sensor.

You won't always get a fault code, I never got one when my cat went bad.

Just buy a new cat, and check your O2 sensors, you're probably running rich. O2 sensor can be going bad and not through code.
