Hello Everybody,

Does anybody have a solution to this problem or does anbody else HAVE this problem. I asked the dealership and they said ALL the front seats do it. My dad has a 2002 Quad cab Ram 1500 and his doesn't??? Please help!!!

Chris, it sounds like I have the same truck as you. And the same problem. Dealer told me to hold off replacing the rack, since dodge may only replace it once. He said wait until it gets worse.
I did not like that answer either

I have a manual bucket and it is the same way. It's only a little loose but I can feel it move when I stop and start. I've checked every nut and bolt and they're all tight. It's the actual latching part of my mechanism that is loose.

is it loose where the brakets connect to the floor? Cuz if it is loose where it connects to the floor couldn't you use a thick washer. Ididnt read all the posts but o well. Good luck with all of yours seats.

I have an '04 Dakota Quad Cab SLT with a power drivers seat. Same problem. Dealer said it is "Normal" He say's ALL power seats do this. I say Bulls**t. I have owned LOT's of cars with power seats and even the OLDER ones did not do this. I also have a "Squealing" in my brakes and just had it checked. I was told that the noise was "Normal" also! When you pay $27,000.00 for a truck, Noises like that and a"Moving" seat (Mine actually "CLICKS" when it moves) are UNACCEPTABLE! My '02 didn't have these problem. Anyone know where I can e-mail and Bi*ch? If I can't get these problems resolved, I will be looking at another manufacturer for my next truck! Please e-mail me if you know where to send a bi*ch e-mail Like Chrysler headquarters.

I have a 2004 Quad as well with same seat problems, plus squealing brakes (they replaced rotors and it helped, but still there), and torque converter shudder. Dealer and manufacturer's rep all say live with it. They supposedly have not had any other complaints. Seat is driving me crazy and is one of reasons I got rid of a 2002 Concorde with same problem. Naturally, BEFORE I bought the truck, the dealer said that Dakota seats don't move and if they did they would take care of the problem. I'll give them a guarantee...I won't purchase another Chrysler or Dodge vehicle and I won't purchase anything from this dealer again.
