Subject: Overhead Console?
IP: Logged

Message:
Sorry if this question has been asked before, but i've searched through 17 pages of the forums and haven't found anything yet.

I have recently purchased a '99 Dakota Regular Cab. 4x4, 5 spd manual. It's a base model.

On ebay there is an overhead console for sale that I would like to install.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=7980611915&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT

Will this fit on my truck, or is it made specifically for extended cabs?

Currently I only have a single dome toward the back of my cab ceiling.

Thanks.

I think it should. You might have to wire in the poser for the lights but other than that I "THINK" it will work. You can also check out this page.

Luke, thanks for response. Looks like a lot of good information in the threads you linked.

Because the unit I'm considering purchasing doesn't have a compass/temp and doesn't need a computer, the wiring should be pretty simple. Although I know nothing at all about how I'm going to wire this thing up. What's a "poser" you mentioned in your post.

My main concern was simply installing the unit where only a small dome light currently exists. So a hardware question more than anything else.
