 Subject: 45RFE to TKO-500 - PCM question

I've done a lot of searching, but I can't seem to find any solid info on this issue.
I'm ready to replace my sponge-O-matic trans with a Tremec TKO-500 5-speed, and i'm trying to find out if my stock PCM will need programming or replacement.
If anyone has done a auto-to-manual swap (or has knowledge of doing it), couldja fill me in, please?
I'd be real disappointed to go through this very exspensive mod and then not be able to drive it right away.
All advice is appreciated.

super easy to do if you dont mind the dash lighting up like a christmas tree.
very hard to do if you do, you'd have to remove the tcm and change the pcm to one from a 5 spd, and if i'm not mistaken you have to change some pins in the harness.....
also thats not counting the mounting of the pedals/master cylinder and longer driveshaft
