1)know what size allen wrench it takes for the front brake pad retainer bolts on a '00 2wd?
2) did dodge make some 2000 models with serviceable bearings and some with sealed hub/bearing units?

I assume you're talking about the caliper 'slider pins'

7mm as mentioned, odd size that doesn't come in a standard wrench set. I bought one from an industrial supply for a buck and change.

I used a size 45 torex, it wasn't an allen. The front hub is a unit, some parts stores list individual bearings, but you would have take the hub and have the bearings pressed out and the new ones pressed in.

thanks...wanted to change brake pads and realized I didn't have any allen wrenches that fit.
Bought Autozone Duralast pads.....if anyone has negative experience with these I'd appreciate their comments.

I never had a problem with Duralast pads from Autozone. Keep the reciept though. eventually they will wear out and I believe there's a lifetime guarantee. Beware of parts like ball joints, stearing gears and stuff from Autozone.
