Last night I finally found out what my front end noise was. Yep, you guessed it. Ball-Joints. I was up late last night reading past posts about them and finally called Dodge this morning and found out that even though the 2wd was not included in the recall, they have an extended warrenty on the upper ball-joints. YESSSSS!

yeah i got that notice awhile ago myself. Have not done anything with it yet, just because I do not waht to be w/o my beloved truck. I wondr how long it will take them to replace that ball joint? Will they give you a loaner while they fix it? I have noticed that clunking sound for a while now.

ecdak,

I made an appointment for 1 week from today and they told me to have it in early in the morning and I would have it by noon. We will see I guess. I just recently bought my DAK so they didn't have the correct information of ownership so I would never have known about the warrenty unless I called.

The warranty for 2wd upper ball joints runs out at 100K miles. I've got 112K on my '01's now, and had them checked a week ago during an alignment check; still working fine.
