If you have a digital odometer, turn the key on-off-on-off then on. The codes will appear, one at a time in that window. ex-P 0700. Google
OBDII codes and it will tell you what they are.

Thanks! I'm running down to my truck right now... any easy way to clear codes??? I have access to a scanner, but its a pain to always have to go to it.... to explain, my truck has decided that I don't EVER tighten down the gas cap... evap codes... I've gotten ALL three ( small, medium, Large leaks detected evap system) in the past week, it just started up, and I haven't had a chance to work through the system yet to fix the issue... but that MIL annoys me..

You can't clear the codes if the problem still exists. If it's fixed, from what I've read on this board, disconnect battery, turn key on for 20 sec. turn key off and reconnect battery. Tommy

yeah, I've used the scanner to clear it, but it pops back up maybe two to three days later... its getting on my nerves, but haven't gotten around to fixing the "leak" in my evap system yet... thats what prompted me to think about the codes and how to pull em without the scanner...
