My 93 dakota has 175,000 miles. I have been slowly replacing parts around the truck as they wear out (water pump - power steering - suspension .....) and have added a few extras. At 142,000 I added a supercharger, headers, Msd, 4.10 rear gears...) My truck truck still runs great after beatin the hello out of it for the last 33,000 miles. I'd buy another one.

I usually got over the 3K mark.. about 1500 Miles over what they recommend.. One reason is because I don't tow nothing anymore with it.. I just haul plywood back and forth also including my 6 HP Murray Lawnmower. So I'm not working the engine hard at all. Right now I'm using 10W30 Valvoline Synthetic Blend..

As for the parts I've replaced,,, well I just make it short by just stateing the major replacements that I done....

My 95 CC 4x4 3.9L auto is sitting around the 153k mark.

I've spent more money in parts since nov 04 then I have from July 1998 (when i bought the truck) until Nov 04. I guess the life on my parts is around 10 years :P

My "late" '92 5.2 RC had 217K on the original drivetrain before it was "killed" by a '95 T-Bird pulling out in front of me. Engine PCM and cat. converter about 160K the only issues. I put brand new front rotors on 6 days before the collision. Still miss old Blue.

Congrats to all of you, no wonder they run strong, the 2nd generations are the best. 3rd generations are total junk. It's because of the failure of the 3rd generations that Dodge has discontinued "dakota" production. Keep those puppies runnnin cuz there will never be another like them.
