Subject: how to drain the coolant

Hello does anybody know exactly on a 2000 quad cab 3.9l how to drain the coolant? i got underneith the truck to find the petcock, but a thin piece of plastic covered the bottom of the radiator so i removed it but, i did not find anything my question is where the hell is it? and do you have to take other things off to get to it, also on the passenger side if i remove the 2 inch rad hose will that be enough to do the trick could any body instruct me as how to do it, i tried all the old postes but none really helped me, also does anybody know how to drain the rad overflow thing i wanted to wash it out.

The drain on the radiator just unscrews at the bottom. You
could also remove the lower radiator hose. To be really
thorough remove the drain plug on the driver's side of the
engine block too.
