Well, I bought my club cab for that reason. I have a 3 year old with a car seat and it's perfect. I kinda like the looks of a club better than a quad. Quads take some getting used to for me, kinda half breads (sorry) Anyways I wanted a pick up right.

Lol Thats wrong.

Or Ill just say Give me a loaded 4.7 2001 Club Cab Dakota for $17,000, then give me $13,150 (my Payoff) for my current 98 Dakota. Of course they will not do anything until I go there. But Im willing to bet they wont do it.... Its a 70 Mile drive to dealer so I really dont want to go there for nothing...

Two kids in car seats? Quad cab is the best way to go. Much more interior room. You do give up a little box space.

As far as the appearance goes --- the quad just takes a little exterior "tweaking" and it'll look justtttttt fine! My opinion, anyway.

70 miles to the dealer? Where did you buy that truck...Everett? :-)
Email me offline, I might have an alternate dealer you can go to who won't call you every day about trading up the truck.

Man, you bought a reg cab with 2 kids and a wife? I'd say it was your own fault for not testing out the room first..no sympathy here

You can get a sweet Quad cab for much less then a stripped Durango. Dave Smith was selling Quad Cab, V-8, automatic, SLT+, 4x4, 2001 Dakota's last week for just under $22,000. They had good deals on Durango's as well but #22K only gets a V-6 sport with those baby tires and no fender flairs. Sure the Durango has the potential to seat 2 more way in the back, but just try sitting back there yourself, or strapping a kid back there. I always thought when the Durangos first came out they'd be the ultimate vechile for me. I ended up getting with a AWD Grand Caravan for the family and road trips, and a Dakota R/T for me to commute and play with. The Chrysler minivans are hard to beat for room and comfort with families, the Durango is just trying to do too much that it ends up doing everything OK, but really do anything great. Jack of all trades master of none.
