My 93 dakota has a cigerette lighter that is on when you have the key turn on or on accessory (back). Is this normal? Dont most trucks have a lighter that is always "on"?

Actually quite a few vehicles have ingition on accessory plugs. While it may suck if you're using it for a lighter, it's great if you're using it for an accessory so that it turns on and off with the truck, not killing the battery.
It would be an easy project changing it to always on, but that's up to you..
