Subject: check for A/C leaking water under carpet

Yeah, this is an old problem, but I figured with it getting warmer, that I'd bring it up for the 'newbies'... there's a common problem with the A/C drain tube getting blocked, and leaking water under the passenger side carpet, soaking the sounddeadner. you may not even notice the water unless you look under the carpet, so pull the door sill board( the plate that runs the lenght of the door opening) up and feel/look for a puddle, or soaked pading. the dealerships should be able to help fix, or you can look under a search for "water under carpet" or "water floorboard" in the search on this site... an elbow on the drain tube, right behind the tranny dipstick is one way to fix it.
