probably because he is one of those types that owns a truck just to fit in but never actually uses it for any real jobs like towing or hauling

I kind of thought he was saying something about the 45-RFE vs. 46RE comment I made.

As for using my truck.
Sheeeeeeet! People here who have been around and watched my videos of off roading KNOW I have used my truck.
Yes that's right. A 4X4 that actually gets used AS a 4X4! I've left the pavement many o' times!

I have towed a Suburban.
A twin engine ski-doo jet boat
3 tons river rock on a trailer
1600lbs bricks in the bed (it was squat probably should have stopped at 1000lbs)

I have had to replace the rear end on my truck once. When I put my lift on 2 weeks ago both rear shocks were still in perfect work condition. I have a 5 speed on my 318 99 CC and have never had power problems.

The rear-end problem could have been caused by the towing or the fact it ran dry cause of a leak at the pinion seal?

I didn't exactly tow, but pushed an rv for a few hundred feet up an incline. It was a 1982 Southwind RV, with a 454, a dually rear and about a ton of extra junk in it.

Me and my friends were moving this beast to one of our houses to fix it up, so we only needed to get it running (albiet rough) to move it about a mile down the road.

The secondaries weren't opening, the transmission was slipping and there were two flats on it. Consequently, it couldnt make it up a hill and it stalled out. The batteries were dead, wouldn't start up and we didn't really have the time to jump it. It was in the middle of the road so it had to be moved. I put some padding between my bumper and the rv's bumper, plopped it in first, had my friend stand in the back of the truck (for better traction) and pushed.

I slowly raised the RPM's so the wheels wouldn't break loose and slowly I heard the sound of metal bending. I was horrified and went out to look at the bumper and it turns out I bent the RV's bumper.

I had to re-align the bumpers so they were perfectly parallel with one another. I gave it another try and surely that sucker started rolling until we could get over the hill and safley to the side of the road.

I'm proud of my truck, I have no idea how much that thing weighs. It's over 20 feet long, has 2 generators on it, a 454, 6 wheels and everything else including a kitchen sink. I'm thinking it was well over any kind of max limit that my truck was made for.

My truck is pretty much stock besides for some simple stuff like airfilter, plugs and wires. It's a 1992 5.2L V8 CC 2x4 with trac-lock (or whatever Dodge calls it.)

Ive got a 2000 4.7 std cab 4x4 dakota, and the heaviest load ive pulled was my friends mid 70's Ford F-150 on a 18' float. I had about a 30 mile drive with a few hills(I live in Missouri).It had the truck squating pretty good, but it pulled great on the freeway and hilly twisty roads, i never dropped below the speed limit. I wouldn't had done it if i didn't have trailer braks. My friend in his 89 Chevy 1500 didn't think i could keep speed so he followed me with his flashers on (Boy was he surprised when he had to keep up with me!). The reason he didn't tow it was his hitch was rusted out and it wouldn't even hold the toung weight!
