OK, I have read the previous posts on possible Dak diesels and have not found anything current. With the diesel Liberty coming out and gas prices climbing has anyone heard anything about if and when for our beloved Dak. One of those from Detroit Diesels sounds like a good fit. Also, is there a place to direct an email to GM in orer to request such a engine option?

I think it is a great idea and would have
purchased a diesel if it had been available last
year.
The Jeep Gladiator concept is the closest I have
seen to a Diesel Dakota "Gladiator is powered by
the modern and efficient 2.8-liter, 4-cylinder
common-rail turbo diesel engine that provides 295
lb-ft of torque and 163 hp."
Personally I would prefer a slightly large diesel
engine but would have chosen any diesel over the
4.7.
Diesel availability is the only reason I can see
to upgrade my 04 to the new model.
