Hi all, I have a 2003 Dakota 4x4 V8 Quad. When I went to my parked truck the drivers side headlight was on. Only one. The switch was in the off position. It happened again 20 minutes later when I parked the truck. The one headlight would not turn off. A few minutes later the 'Service 4 Wheel Drive' light came on. The kicker is that the dealership can find nothing wrong with the vehicle. They say it stored the computer message about the 4Wheel but everything was fine when they test drove it.
Any one have a ideas????

i would take it to another dealership. if your 4wd ck light came on and your headlight is doing that. they should be able to get a code somewhere.

It seems like you have a short powering that light from somewhere. Got a scanner?

you can check your own codes on the 03 models. just turn the key to on off on off on and its displyed on your milage counter.
