 Subject: Knocking Noise????

Hello. I have a 2003 Dodge DaKOTA 3.7L V6. It has 39,800 miles, and recently in past few months I have noticed a small knocking/pinging/rattle noise from my truck. I first thought it was the engine, but only happens when it is under a load, up hill, accelerating, higher gear ect. Does anyone have an idea as to what is causing this sound??

yup sounds like your running a cheaper grade of gas. this is an ignition ping, really nothing serious, its just annoying i know. try ethanol or anything above 87 octane and this should help.
...or i could be completely wrong and this isnt your problem....
see what others say....
