 Subject: ABS Codes

I get an intermittent ABS and emergency brake light and occasionally the aABS pump will run for a few seconds. I have 4 wheel ABS on a 98 Dak. I changed the rear sensor in the differential and no change to problem. Today, Ihad the codes scanned and got a 21 right front sensor failure, 35 rear sensor failure, 37 rear sensor signal erratic, and 65 power relay open. They cleared the codes and drove the truck again and got the 35 and 37 codes. I guess I should check the rear sensor connector although it looked ok when I changed the sensor and I'll pull the sensor to see if it picked up a bunch of metal shavings. Other than that any ideas on what to try? Also, any idea what the power relay open error is?

I can't help you on a 98, but get yourself a factory FSM. It will point you in the right direction. I have a 92 Lebaron with 4-wheel ABS, it has 3 or 4 relays as part of the ABS system. One is for the pump motor, and the others are for sensors I think.
