I noticed gease on my left front rim ( 03 Dak 4x2 27k miles). Dealer say's its a leaking " sealed Hub ". They had to order the hub assy. which is back ordered until the 25th. Back ordered? MAybe a new problem got the Dak's?

This is on the same side they had to replace the upper ball joint on, at 21K miles. It possible the hub got damaged during that replacement.

you can get them at other parts stores too, I pad about $95 for the sealed bearing/hub assembly for my 94 4x4, mine popped open on the inner side of it, grease all over the CV, it fell apart when I took the CV shaft off.

You can get the bearing that goes in the hub for about $40. Take the hub off, remove the C clip, press the old bearing out, press the new one in, attach C clip and reassemble. Both sides done for less than $100. When I tried to find the hub 2 years ago none of the parts stores had the hub in stock, but they all had the bearing, Hmmmmmm

As for Dodge's 1 time use $20 Nylok hub nut, use the old one and Locktite it. Locktite will hold better than the nylon anyway, just another income stream for Dodge.

Stealer does not want you to know there is a replacment hub bearing, kind of like 2-3 years ago when Dodge said you could only get replacement upper ball joints with the control arm attached, $25 ball joint just turned into a $250 control arm assembly.

Umm sorry Mr. Customer, that flat tire comes as an assembly and you have to buy the whole rim and tire for $400. Oh, while were discussing tires, them $5 lug nuts can only be used one time. When you get a flat wait at the side of the road with $500 in your pocket. LOL
