 Subject: 92 Dakota fuel gauge problem

92 Dakota w/318. Original problem fuel gauge flailing wildly.
Replaced fuel pump and sending unit (twice). Now fuel gauge
indicates empty with low fuel idiot light on. Fuel gauge moves
slightly around the empty level mark. Any suggestions?

Check the wiring harness to the sender carefully
and check it as far as you can.
Probably pinched or otherwise damaged somewhere.
The ' idiot light ' needs a " closed { short }
condition " to come on..

I have a 98 dakota and my fuel gauge periodically goes to empty and the need fuel icon comes on I'm thinking there is a loose connection somewhere. What do you think
