My limited slip is not working. I noticed it today. I am not usually in a position that it is needed but today I was and only one tire spun. I don't "get on
this truck at all and it gave no warning, noise etc. Just doesn't work. Anyone had this trouble on an 02 quad 4x4? Glad I have the extended warranty!!!

Have an 02 with LS, had it serviced spring/summer last year and found broken parts inside. Just had it rebuilt under warranty, they replaced the cluch pack and carrier bearings. Although I didnt notice it not working but I wasnt looking either.

Definatly get it checked.

But remember "limited slip", not locker. You will run into situations where one spins and the other doesn't.

This diff unfortunately has a history of self distructing. Service schedule on my 03 says change the fluid at 13,000 miles. I've read here before of people finding the clutches ground into grit during this service. Then again, as Crow says, it's not a locker, just LSD. Limited slip, not 'no slip'. Change the fluid, or have it changed. (Be very careful about what you refill with BTW). If the clutch pack has self destructed you'll see it in the bottom of your drain pan.
