Looks like the offspring from a one night stand between an 05 Dakota and a Nissan Titan! Now the question is who violated who.

Looks to me that those who don't fancy the some of the body work on the 2005 Dakota will soon have the Mitsubishi parts department available for body panels and partial grill replacements. Think positive. But that Mitsubishi triangle dead center in the front has GOT TO GO.
Well, now it looks good from the side as well as the back.

It's almost worse looking than the Dak. I know under the skin it's a Dak but it would be a laugh if a head-to-head test showed the Raider to be the better overall truck.

Will Mitsu offer the 250hp 4.7L as well?

I was just thinking, what would the hp/tq numbers for the 4.7L be if it was DOHC?

Based on those listed spacifications it looks like the only wat to get the 6-speed manual is on a v6 club cab. Bogus...

IMO - it looks too much like a Nissan front end. When looking at it there is nothing obvious (other than the Mitsubishi star) to make me not think I am looking at a Toyota or Nissan truck. They blew a great styling opportunity here. Pathetic...

I wonder if it comes equipped with the 15,000 mile ball joints?

Or the noisey/leaky power steering pump.

Or the WEAK New Venture manual transmission?

Outside, the Raider offers standard 16-inch wheels, large side mirrors and a 6.5-foot-long bed (5-foot on double cab models).

when will someone learn to put a 6 foot bed on a midsize quad cab??? And don't give any crap about getting an extend-a-bed for the tailgate. it's not as wide as the bed and my tonneau cover won't cover it. I like to keep my cargo dry.

The 05 Dak's front suspension is a new design. I'd be surprised if it has the same shortcomings as the old.

I don't know. I'm just starting to get used to the looks of the new Dak, but I don't think I'll ever like it. The Raider doesn't really break any new styling ground, but it's definitely easier on the eyes. I'd definitely consider one.
