There is a switch on your transfer case. Its a 10 min job to change.

While we are on the subject, I have a '97 4x4. When I bought the truck, I just figured the 4x4 indicater light was blown. Then after some looking, I couldn't find where the indicator was. Can someone with a '97 let me know if there is an idicator.
